"The Wonders of the Shrub-Steppe" written by DL students

During our Shrub-Steppe project, our younger class learned from Miss Sue, our fantastic local children’s librarian, that there aren’t many children’s books published on the topic. They decided to make their own. They worked together as a group to come up with an idea, create multiple iterations of their pages and then generated and voted on their title. The book was published through Shutterfly and they delivered two copies to donate to the library last week. It was a pretty big day for these young learners. Check out “The Wonders of the Shrub-Steppe” the next time you are at the Ellensburg Public LIbrary.
